Terms of service
The agreement between you and us for using vox. Please read it before you create an account.
01Who we are
vox is a service of Samarth Trades and Manufacturing, a sole proprietorship registered in India (“we”, “us”). Voxelised and vox are its brands. You can reach us at hello@voxelised.com.
02This agreement
These terms cover the vox website, your dashboard and the API. By creating an account or using vox, you accept them, along with our privacy policy and refund policy.
- vox is for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- If you use vox for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it, and “you” then means that company.
- We review new accounts by hand and may decline one.
03Your account and your key
- Keep your password and API key secret. Anything done with them counts as done by you, including the credits spent.
- If you think someone else has seen your key, replace it on your dashboard at once and tell us.
- One account per person or company, unless we agree otherwise.
04Credits, prices and payment
- vox is paid for with credits. Each kind of lookup costs a set number of credits, shown on the pricing page.
- Credits are taken only when a lookup finds something. A miss, a timeout or an error costs nothing.
- You buy credits at the price per credit on the pricing page when you buy, in US dollars. Prices exclude taxes; for customers in India, GST at 18% is added.
- Credits you buy are valid for 12 months from the day you buy them. Credits not used by then lapse.
- Credits we give you free of charge, such as those on sign-up, are a courtesy. We may withdraw them if an account is misused.
- Credits have no cash value. They can’t be exchanged for money, moved to another account or sold, and they aren’t refundable except as our refund policy says.
- We may change prices, including what a lookup costs in credits. A change applies only to purchases and lookups made after it’s published.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
05Using the data responsibly
vox returns information about real people: names, work emails, phone numbers, professional profiles and public social media posts. You’re responsible for how you use it, and you agree:
- to have a lawful reason for every lookup, and for every message or call that follows it, under the data protection laws that apply to you and to the people you contact, such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply, the GDPR and the UK GDPR;
- to follow the rules on marketing messages and calls, including TRAI’s rules on commercial communication and the Do Not Disturb register in India, and anti-spam laws elsewhere;
- to stop contacting anyone who asks you to, and to delete their details when they ask;
- not to use vox to harass, stalk, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or to find someone who doesn’t want to be found;
- not to use vox to decide anyone’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing;
- not to look up children;
- not to resell, publish or share vox’s results as a dataset, or use them to build a database or a service that competes with vox;
- not to probe, overload or try to get around vox’s security, limits or billing, or to scrape the website.
06What the results are, and aren't
- vox’s results come from third-party data providers and publicly available sources. People change jobs and numbers, so we can’t promise that a result is accurate, complete or current.
- The social analysis and the growth playbook describe what has worked on public posts. They are research, not advice, and not a promise of results.
07Your data
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. We don’t sell your data or what you look up, and we don’t share it with other customers.
08What belongs to whom
- vox, its software, design and documentation belong to us. You may use vox and its results for your own business, as these terms allow.
- What you send us stays yours. You give us the right to use it to run vox for you.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
09Availability and changes
We work to keep vox running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we’ll tell you ahead of time where we reasonably can.
10Pausing or closing an account
- You can stop using vox at any time, and ask us to close your account by writing to hello@voxelised.com.
- We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or uses vox unlawfully, without notice where the risk is serious.
- Credits left on a closed account aren’t refunded, except as our refund policy says.
11Liability
- To the extent the law allows, vox is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, business or goodwill.
- Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
- You’ll compensate us for claims, fines and costs that come from your misuse of vox or of its results, or from breaking these terms or the law.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its date. For important changes, we’ll email account holders before they take effect. Using vox after that means you accept the new terms.
13Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute can’t be settled by writing to us first, the courts at our principal place of business in India have exclusive jurisdiction.
